is it wrong for me to be upset?

an old best friend of mine just told me she's getting an apartment with her girlfriend, and they're moving in next week. my friend doesn't have a job, and doesn't make an effort to find one. she's also 17, and her girlfriend is 22 and will be paying for everything. they've only been together for maybe 3 months. my boyfriend and i have been trying to save for an apartment for close to 7 months now. both of us are working our asses off and have been for more than half a year. i just think it's complete bullshit that she gets everything handed to her, whereas my boyfriend and i aren't so lucky. my friend also had/has a problem with drinking and popping pills. am i wrong to feel some type of irritation at this, or are my feelings justified?

It just seems like jealousy honestly, which is a completely normal human emotion, but you probably need to just focus on something else, maybe even try to be happy for your friend? Why get angry?

It seems like you are jealous. You know some people get things easely and some not. I get that you are upset about it, but if her girlfriend pays for everything, it is not your problem. You may think that it is not fair and that unlike her, you won't let your boyfriend pay for everything but you are not her. She didn't forces her girlfriend to pay. However I get that you are concerned about the fact that she isn't looking for a job. So do your thing, save for your appartment. And hopefully you will get it soon 😁😁

I think you have a right to be concerned about her dinking/drugs use n the fact she's not necessarily stable, if this relationship breaks down she's homeless .. they've only been together 3months? Bt if she's your mate you shouldnt be angry towards her for getting a place to live quickly or the money stuff. It's her life n what happens to her is separate from what happens to you! yours is yours. Keep working hard n focus on being the best you you can be everyday, screw comparing what you don't have n be thankful for what you do have 😇 you clearly have great work ethic n a strong relationship. I hope you get there soon😘✨

I think your right to be concerned about her drug use and invisible work ethic.... but you seem to be jealous about the whole situation. Your hard work will pay off. If your friend is anything like you say, she'll fall on her ass soon.

You'll get over it eventually. I see my boyfriend every few months and we still don't live together after 3.5 years of dating. We have to wait 5 years total. So technically I can say your relationship isn't fair either, but everyone is different and it's their business. Focus on your life and try not to get too upset over it. Its not worth t.

You're just jealous. If I were you I'd be more concerned that your underage friend is moving in with a 22 year old and that she could possibly be putting herself into a situation that will increase her chances of substance abuse. 
I get it's hard, but if you're just as young as she is why are you rushing for your own place anyway? If you can't afford a place in 6 months one or both of you need to find better jobs, because maintaining all the bills that comes along with your own place is harder than you think. If you can't save a couple thousand for an apartment or house to rent then you aren't making enough and you're going to get into some holes that are hard to get out of real quick.
