Mother forcing me to take birth control
Ok so I'll say this right off the bat, I am not willing to take hormonal birth control for a few moral reasons that's that, for now it remains final and I'm not willing to debate that it's my body and I shouldn't be forced to do anything with it
I am 16 years old and since I got my period my mother has put increasing amounts of pressure on me to take hormonal birth control, which is something I'm not willing to do, I'm perfectly fine with other women taking it just not myself. She bugs me every month that I should take it, and tells me stuff like "oh it will get rid of that hideous acne" "come on, you know it will make your hair thicker" "you know it will make your boobs a bit bigger" then after I don't fall for the superficial benefits she brings out the tactics designed to scare me "what if you go to university and get raped" "you can't trust men" "what if your boyfriend pressures you into it" (on a side note I have discussed my thoughts on abstaining to him and he is extremely supportive and of the same opinion) and I'm sick and tired of this rhetoric going on every God damn day. But of course my body felt like giving me the worst cramps possible and I suspect I have endometrosis, so my mother is trying to use it to her advantage. I still refuse to take it even if I am in pain, she tells me things like "if you had a baby I wouldn't support you" "your going to get knocked up at 18 if you don't take birth control" I know she wants to do this for my own well being but she needs to stop. I dont know what to do anymore and I'm at my wits end.
