Breastfeeding and working.

So my boyfriend told me that I have to go back to work after I have the baby (not right away) or I can't live there but I really want to be a stay at home mom but since that's not an option, I still want to breastfeed for as long as I can. I was told that if you introduce a bottle too soon they can get confused and refuse your nipple, so my question is.. How old should I start introducing bottles if I wanted to both bottle and breastfeed. It would only be for a few hours a day, like 4 or 5 hours that I'd be working. So if I pumped and only bottlefed during those hours would it be possible to keep them breastfeeding too? I told him that I will not go back to work until I can still breast feed. Unless of course it's not an option to do both, then I'd have to start working anyways by 6m even if it means I can't breastfeed anymore and can only pump and bottle feed.
