How did you get your child off the bottle?

My boy is three and he loves his bottle...I've been trying to hard to keep it from him (he only uses it to go to sleep and if he wakes up in the night he wants it again) but he screams for it ....I know it should be gone by now and I'm trying but it's so hard to get him to sleep without it...any suggestions? How did you do it ?

You're just going to have to take it away. The first few days will be hard but it will definitely be worth it in the  end.

just  give him a sippy cup , tell him he is a big boy now and have him walk with you to the trash and throw it away. I hope this works for you . How I got all my kids off the bottle. My mom told me when I was 18 with my 1st child to make sure to throw away the bottle before he turned 1 because it will be hard to ween them off later. So when my kids were old enough to hold their bottles I switched them to a sippy cup and switched them to a cup around 2yrs old.I'm a mother of 3 boys , 11day old,4yr old, and a 6 yr old good luck !!

As in a sippy cup or a bottle? My son is on a sippy cup now and by the time hes two imma try to have him on a 360 cup. Id try that if you wanna save him from it. Remember out of sight out of mind. And stop giving in!

is there milk in the bottle?  if so I would give water instead.  immediately switch 50/50 water milk  and gradually make it just water.

When baby was 10 months we started introducing sippy cups, by the time baby was one the bottle was completely gone.
