eye infection...?

my daughter has had a really watery and gooey eye all weekend. I thought it was just from her crying real tears a lot but then I noticed she started getting a bumpy red rash under her eye late last night and today it turned into this, the corner of her eye lid is also red... I called her doctor and she is getting an eye antibiotics but I does anyone know what this could be?? I have been a hot mess all weekend. she teething on top of this so she doesn't feel good at all.
