Lexapro?

Question

Anyone on here take Lexapro for anxiety and/or depression? 
I was just put on it today after being off all medications (by choice)  for close to 6 years and having my anxiety and depression rear it's ugly head like a freight train the past year. 
For those that take it, how do you like it? 
Do you have side effects you've noticed? 
Has it helped day to day?

I havent experienced any negative side affects. Been on it for 4 years and it has never done me wrong!

I'm on lexapro- I was off meds for a few years and depression got really bad- when I got back on it last year I was literally at my lowest point (and I didn't think I could get any lower than I was the previous years). I requested celexa because out of the mess I'd tried that gave me the best results, but my doc said that lexapro is basically celexa without the extra side effect causing stuff. I started on 10mgs, then went up to 20 and I still have days that I don't feel quite right, probably situational, but for the most part I can say I feel pretty normal and it's wonderful!

I took it before I found out i was pregnant. 
The first couple of weeks of taking it my veins felt weird and i had a headache and i felt like always like my anxiety was worse but when it was in my system it all went away and I felt normal again! Id definitely recommend it!

I was on Lexapro, stopped taking it when we decided to TTC. My initial side effect was that I was clenching my jaw almost all the time, which caused headaches. But that went away after a few weeks. It worked wonders to reduce my anxiety, especially once we found the exact right dosage.
