low fluid for one twin

Kristina

I am currently 31w3d w MoDi twins. I have had an uneventful pregnancy until Monday. At my ultrasound they found baby b had low fluid. Baby b is the smaller twin but no TTTS or restricted growth and baby a fluid was normal and everything else was good (cord blood flow, practice breathing, movement, heart rate, etc.) for both babies. The MFM specialist recommended I go to the hospital for close monitoring. I was on continuous dopler monitoring all night (super fun) and focused on drinking as much water as possible. I had an ultrasound the next morning and fluid was back to normal for baby b and everything else was still great. I'm now doing 4 hr monitoring but their recommendation is to not release me until I have 3 ultrasounds(one per day) w good results and all dopler monitoring shows good well being. So...to make a story even longer...has anyone had any experience with low fluid for one twin in the 3rd trimester? Really had told (aka tricked) myself into thinking that I would make it to 36 weeks no problem so this has thrown me for a loop a little bit so just looking for experiences and advice! Doctors are saying 36 weeks and vaginal are not off the table but they do want to see how things go. If another ultrasound shows low fluid then the 3 day count restarts and we have to look into me being here longer. I will do what's best for the twins just having a hard time with it knowing my two year old is at home without me.
