Small baby?

So I went to get an ultrasound and the doctor said baby weighs 4lbs 8oz and I'm 33 weeks 1 day as of today. Everyone keeps telling me she's going to be a small baby? I'm due next month 9/29!

My little boy is 30% weighing 5 lbs 6 oz at 35 weeks 2 days. I was worried bc he has always measured ahead. Dr told me that the ultrasound measurements were by no means and exact science and it could be more than a pound off. In 2013 I had a "5 lb" baby that actually weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. so I would put much faith in the measurements.

That sounds like a normal weight to me, but keep in mind that ultrasounds are super inaccurate at this stage. My doctor told me they could even be several pounds off. Don't stress, as long as baby is still kicking and cooking, baby will weigh what he or she is supposed to!

I've read a whole lot of articles saying the scans are inaccurate after 24 weeks. In real life experience I've been told by a lot of women they were really off. Like up to three and a half pounds off. So I wouldn't worry about it :)

I was told at 32 weeks that baby is 4 lbs and that that is pretty average so it sounds like your on track to me
