Fetal Dopler success???

Question

Any mamas had any luck with an at home fetal Doppler? If so how far along we're you when you heard babies heart beats? And what kind did you get? 
Currently 13w3d with di/di twins. Both also have anterior placentas. Wondering if this would be a cool device to have later or just a waste of money. Lol thanks!

I finally broke down and bought one at around 17 weeks. Also di/di twins, and I was able to hear them both every time I tried! I got Sonoline B and couldn't be happier. I'm 28+3 today and I feel them kick a lot, but still sometimes I would take out my Doppler if I feel worried. One of the babies has an anterior placenta and sometimes I don't feel her kicks all that much. 
Before I felt them kick I would listen pretty much every night, but I always kept it very short - I just wanted a reassurance that I could still hear two heartbeats. I never tried to catch the perfect "galloping horse" sound, or measure the heartrate. I am still using the tiny tube of gel that came free with the device.
With the anterior placentas you will hear a lot of placenta sounds (actually pretty cool!), but if you keep searching you will hear much faster whoosh-whoosh-whoosh of the babies. It was easier to locate them when the uterus was still small - now I sometimes have to chase them for a while :)
By the way, they don't like it. I'm glad I kept the sessions short. Then I couldn't feel it, but now they would kick straight into the probe after just a few seconds of listening! And would continue kicking for a while after. It somehow wakes them up.
