college relationship

(this is a long one !! but worth a read!)

Recently my high school boyfriend just left for college. We left on really amazing terms- we broke up but we still tell each other that we love each other and so on ... we stay in touch everyday, and our feeling for each other are just as strong as they were before he left. however, we are considered "broken up" so we could both explore other options.. it's hard for me because I don't want to picture him with anyone else. it's hard for me to get over him when we're still talking, still saying I love you nearly everyday. so this is where I need some outside support and advice to guide me down the right path, because right now my mind is a mess and I can't even think straight. should I be straight up with him and tell him that maybe we should start separating ourselves so when we both find someone else it's not going to hurt as much?! IDK what to do !! 😔
