Advice for a friendship that I might have screwed?

Long story...... This guy and I have been friends for about 5 years and I recently got his phone number (since we weren't close friends). We've been innocently talking for weeks and hanging out at get togethers with our large group of mutual friends (more than 20 people). I went to his place yesterday after a get together to watch a show and have a wrestling match since we're both competitive and it just happened to pop up in conversation, and we ended up doing anal since I didn't want to have any chance of being pregnant. We agreed beforehand this was a one time thing since I was super drunk and he was high, but I also thought we were only watching a show and wrestling and told one of our older friends about it before leaving with him. She ended up thinking we were leaving to just have sex (which wasn't on the agenda for either of us), and spread the word around and texted the guy about it in the morning to tease him. He had driven me home after we did it (my request) and just texted me about it. I explained about how I thought it was innocent and we talked it out. Did I screw up our friendship forever?
