Flu shot?

The flu shot is already available and was wondering if anyone was planning on getting it. I'm assuming it provides some protection to the baby but am not sure. I asked my doctor yesterday at my 37 week appt and she seems indifferent. Any advice?

I've never had the flu shot in my entire life, never had the flu. Everyone around me caught the flu really badly and they got the flu shot. My mother was off work for an entire month because she got it. She's not the only one who dealt with that. 
That's just my experience. Don't let people scare you into thinking you need a vaccine to have a healthy immune system. It's quite the opposite

Nope not happening, we have a friend of the family & he develops flu shots here in Australia. He tells his dad who is elderly to never ever get it & neither should children or expecting mothers. So no, just no.

I got it a couple of months ago (living in Australia it's the middle of winter) everyone else around me has been sick except me. It's a really common practice over here nearly every pregnant woman gets it ☺️ also protects baby when he gets here so I'm all for it.

Look up the ingredients and decide if you want that put into your pregnant body.

Nope. Hasn't been tested on pregnant women so I'm all set with being the guinea pig. Also it's August..... far from flu season.

Got one yesterday. Should take two weeks for it to be effective and from what I've read on the CDC's website, it will provide protection to our baby (through breastfeeding) for four months or so--which gets us through the holidays :)

I had my flu shot a few weeks ago when I got my tdap. One tiny shot that has the potential to protect my baby is worth it.

Nope. Would much rather contract it and have my body fight it off naturally and do what it's supposed to do or use my oils to do the work. Not worth the risk. But to each their own

Definitely not! I don't get any vaccines but especially not the flu shot. It also hasn't been tested on pregnant women. I wouldn't risk it.

Eh. I see vaccines as extremely important but the flu shot itself I'm sort of indifferent to. That being said, I got mine when they offered it at 32 weeks.
