Difference in diaper from one size to another

I loved Pampers Baby Dry in size 2.

I just bought them in size 3 and it feels totally different. It's feels thinner, cheaper, and less absorbent. It also doesn't have the wetness indicator (blue line) and I'm almost positive the size 2 Baby Dry had it. To add to it, my daughter just had the worst blowout ever. It's like all her poop came out of the leg holes.

I never had any problems with the size 2 so I'm wondering if anyone has experienced a change in quality from one size to the next? And is there different types of Pampers Baby Dry?
