Scared of Labor

When i'm not on my period, I really want a baby and I don't think about the pain, but when I am on my period, I think about how epidurals don't always work. I can't even take a little bruise, never mind push a child out. I have zero pain tolerance, but before I knew that epidurals don't always work, I thought, if I got an epidural, I would breeze through labor. Apparently, that's false. I also heard that C-Sections (the healing of them) are more painful than labor. My husband really wants kids and so do I, but I don't think I could take the pain of birth. I don't know what to do.
