Could it be the wax or the lotion?

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for quite a few years now. Only recently (the last two or three times) have I started to break out pretty bad on my eyebrows after getting it done. I do wax my upper lip area at home and don't have the same problem. I know it's a different type of wax but I don't think waxing the hair is the problem. I think it's the lotion they use afterwards. Maybe they got a new kind or something? Idk. I want to get my eyebrows done before school starts in a few days. I was considering getting them waxed but not letting them put the lotion on me. But I'm not positive the lotion is the problem. Any ideas or suggestions?
