Advice please x

Ok so the guy I've had a crush on broke up with his girlfriend last week, long story short we got talking and he asked if I wanted to hang, eventually we got onto the hanging out and hooking up subject, so basically he wants to hang out and hook up, I have a feeling I'm going to get used to he can forget this other chick, but on the other hand he might like me and I've liked him so this might be the start of something new?? Please give me your opinion
