HELP! Previous miscarriage and now I can't conceive

When I was only 17 I got pregnant with a one night stand. I had a miscarriage about two weeks in. I was young and scared my mom would find out so I never went to the doctor. I thought I bled it all out and forgot it ever happened.

Fast forward 11 years later I'm Ttc with my husband and am now getting tests done to see why I can't conceive.

My question is, should I have gone to the dr way back when? Could that be a reason I'm struggling to get pregnant now?
