1 year old not walking??

Hey all.. my LO just turned one this month and he's still not walking.. I'm wondering if your babies are walking yet?? Mine will walk just fine as long as he's holding my hand.. sometimes he holds on to my finger and walks around but as soon as I let go he'll stand on his own and then start crawling instead.. I keep trying to let him go or let him walk on his own but he always just starts crawling unless he's holding my hand.. he'll crawl to me and hold my hand and want me to walk around everywhere with him.. he's taken a few steps alone here and there but just doesn't keep going.. I know other babies are walking by now or have been walking since before 1 year old..
