Miscarriage?? 😔

So today in school during 1st period I started getting really bad cramps and I felt nauseous and I was super dizzy. After 1st period I got up from my chair and I felt a gush and I thought that maybe it was just discharge... it wasn't until after school that I noticed a lot of blood had drenched my pants and underwear and there was a large clot.... my boyfriend just thinks it was my period but I started freaking out and had a gut feeling that it was a miscarriage from the weird white discharge (it looked a lot like a mucus plug) I had early this morning... I'm so scared and I keep crying... I no longer have medical insurance and I can't afford to pay any hospital bills. I don't know what to do and I just need help and advice..

Could this have been a miscarriage or am I overreacting and it was just my period?....
