Parents won't let me have social media...

First off, I just want to thank you for actually taking time to click on that post. You could seriously just ignore it and scroll to something way more relevant.

Anyway I'm 14 years old, turning 15 on December 14. I'm currently in High school, but I feel left out on all things social. I've always obeyed my parents, including when they told me to never date or accept a boyfriend. I've always my education my top priority and I make sure to bring home a report card that'll put a smile on my parent's faces. But it seems no matter how hard I try, they won't allow me to have a social media account. At first I was going to create an Instagram account, just like the rest of my friends. But I've always asked for my parent's permission before I do anything so I decided to do the same thing. Mom told me no and this went on for about a year or so. I've tried to sit down and talk to her, explaining why I want an account. She finally said she would talk to my dad about it. She finally told my dad what I discussed with her and he called me into his room. He asked me how many friends I have and I said I have a few. Then he told me that social media is for "working- class people." He then asked me if my job was to focus on my education or work. I told him all of peers have a social media account and they go to school. they don't work. He said I was 'stupid and an idiot' for saying what Is said. He yelled at me and insulted me, but it wasn't anything I wasn't used to. I nodded my head and left hair room with hopes being crushed. I so badly want at least a Snap-chat. I'm not asking for much. My dad said social media is where people do 'inappropriate' things and begin dating. Mind you he has Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook messenger, Twitter. And my mom also has Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram (which she stays on), Twitter etc...

I'm not comparing myself to my parents, I just want to be reasonable. Countless times my friends asked me about famous people or a funny video that went viral and I give them a confused look. I feel left out and I'm a girl in highschool. I know this post is stupid, please comment what you think I should do.
