I drink either prune juice or dark grape juice for constipation. This works good if you prefer to not take stool softeners and want a more natural approach. I also make sure I've had a good amount of water maybe 30 minutes after drinking it. Helps to get things moving even more.

It may take an hour or so, but it gets me going without cramping.

Warning though, while it's working my stomach gurgles like crazy and I get more bloated, maybe even a little nauseous, but then it all releases and gives me relief.

The prune juice is actually stronger than the grape juice, so I prefer the grape juice most times.
