They said no

So like I'm 17 (18 on the 18th), graduated high school, just started college, living on campus in a college in the city I'm from cuz it's too far to drive everyday. Here's the thing, I come home on the weekends usually and that's when me and the so spend some time together because we don't really see each other that often anymore. But he asked if I could spend the night over there (his parents would be there and apparently they were cool with it I dunno) and I knew if I asked my parents they would say no but I did anyway and of course they said no, saying it'd be fine if he was a girl but he's not. But like, we've been together for a while and never did much because I said no until I was on some sort of protection so it's not like we gon fuck or somethin. And my boyfriend was telling me that they couldn't really influence what I do anymore but I'm not entirely sure. I couldn't just up and leave if they told me no could I?

Update: as far as paying for things it's pretty split. My mom has a loan under her name and I have a loan under mine. They paid for some stuff for my dorm and I paid for some things as well. I've been buying my textbooks my self as well as making payments on a $700 class.
