Should I take singing lessons?

Hey girls I would like some advice. I don't sing. Ever. Except when I'm alone in the car. The idea of singing in front of people is super embarrassing, because I know I suck. But I want to be able to. I want to be able to sing well. A lot of my friends do karaoke and one is starting a glee club but I always opt out because I'm too shy and scared. I want to sing but I am scared to sing in front of anyone. Should I take lessons? If I can't even sing in front of my family how could I sing in front of someone who sings very well?

Sure, you should try a singing lesson. If you find out it's not your thing, you van always quit. Singing is healthy, at least for your mood, and it can help you to keep calm in difficult situations. About being shy: I have found it to be easier to stand up in front og people I don't know than people I know. Go for it😄🎉

Wait this isn't advice or anything but a question for other commenters or the person who posted. Does singing lessons actually make u a better singer. Ik this might be a dumb question but I was always under the impression that if u suck then there's no hope and u can't learn to sing better? Is that true or can it actually make u a good singer?
