Getting married through.... um

so i never was the marrying type, im a shy type so i dont want a weddding at all. I rather just sign papers and that's it. Im happy. BUT the thing is my boyfriend said he wants a wedding and all that jazz. i have no idea why because his family is so mean and i'm not in good terms with his parents because they dont like me going over and spending the night anymor. How can i talk my boyfriend into getting married just in court and sign papers?
