My mom hates when I receive romantic affection

Aubrey • I love my Rossi

So I have a boyfriend. He came over for the first time a week ago and we were cuddling and watching Django together on the couch. At most, we kissed and hugged. Literally nothing over PG-13.

My mom, kept glaring at me the whole time when I could cuddle into him and when he went home she yelled at me for being too affectionate. She yelled at me for kissing my boyfriend a few times and for cuddling and that I should be doing that behind closed doors (which she wouldn't let happen anyways so I don't get what she's trying to say).

Two weeks from now, I'm going to homecoming with him. We're both Juniors, 16/17. She wants to sit in the parking lot while we're at the dance to make sure we don't run off (as if I've ever done that before. This is my first dance with someone, the other dance I went to was a winter formal because my best friend wanted to go). She also wouldn't let me spend time with him at his house (his mother would be there too) before the dance and wouldn't let me sleep over (which I get for the most part, except it ends at 10 why would anyone want to do anything over PG-13 after 10? It's bedtime).

And she told me she wouldn't let me spend time with him at his house because she saw how open we were and how comfortable we were with each other. What the fuck kind of logic is that?

I get not wanting your kid to have sex at 16 and get pregnant, but who cares if me and my boyfriend are affectionate and enjoy cuddling? And she kept telling me I should only do that behind closed doors but she wouldn't ever let me take him up to my room, let alone close the door???
