Wedding Bands

Hi girls, I was just curious how many of you have a wedding band to go with your engagement ring? My boyfriend was completely "blindsided" by the whole wedding band thing, and didnt know it was something people did 😒 I personally want a wedding band to go with my ring after we're married, since you know, it's tradition and all and it's important to me. His mother told him the other day that I "don't need one" and it really put me off because it isn't her relationship and he's not marrying her. She's got a lot of opinions, and isn't afraid to give them in any matter. But, the Bottom line is, I will want a band, and it can be $3 for all I care, just as long as I have one. In all seriousness, Is that a lot to ask for? Or am I overthinking it? Thanks!
