an Actually useful baby shower game for ftms...

I was talking to a friend who just had her baby about a week ago and she's going through that normal stage where she kind of feels like she doesn't know anything and she's messing up (she's doing a GREAT job, tho!).

it occurred to me that for First Time Moms, instead of having people write like advice on cards, it would be awesome to have them write a time when they messed up -little oopsies to big fuckups that made them feel like a terrible parent - from forgetting to buckle the car seat to some sort of accidental negligence that led to their little one getting hurt.

I think for first-time moms, the scary part isn' t even so much thinking you don't know what to do but thinking that everyone else did it all perfectly.

I tell all my friends to read this book called Shitty Mom because it gets real about all the things you're probably going to screw up and that we all do it
