A dog.

My 1 years old loves dogs whenever he sees one he wants to go play he loves smoothing them and just crawling around with them, however we cannot have one at our place as our landlord says no pets. He has a plastic toy dog that sings and teaches words and stuff he sits and smooth him but I just feel bad watching him try and play with a plastic dog he then realises the dog doesn't play so he crawls off, I'm just looking for some advice would be much appreciated.
