4 month shots??

So my son got shots this morning it's been about 8 hours and I have been massaging this legs but it's pretty red around the injection site. So I put an ice pack on them and gave him infant Tylenol. But he has just been crying and screaming for like 30 minutes! I finally got him to sleep but is this normal. The pictures below are after the ice pack so it looks slightly better!

Update: 
We just left the ER and in the time we were there this rash popped up! The ER doctor said it was normal!! I am pissed because it's still not! The nurse disagreed and said if it got worse bring him back in. But if it doesn't go away I'm taking him to his doctor again tomorrow!

Contact his pediatrician as soon as possible. It's possibly could be an allergic reaction

What ended up happening? How did 6 month shots go

My son was fine with shots up until his 4 month shots. He was inconsolable and shrieked and scream for the better part of an hour until my husband and I were crying with him because nothing we tried (ice, Tylenol, massage, breastfeeding him, walking and rocking him) and nothing was helping. We eventually took him to the ER and they gave him some Benadryl and he slowly calmed down. It was super scary because he was not himself for a good 48 hrs but then he was back to his happy self. Hope this helps.

When a baby cries for a long period of time, take them in to the dr or er. Something isn't right.  And no, that does NOT look ok. I would go in asap.
