What age to bring baby to beach?

My daughter is 2 months old and I'm dying for some beach time! I live in FL so it's al there is to do in my town 😂 what age is good to take baby to the beach for the first time? And to go in the water?

you can go just make sure to cover every inch of her either with sunscreen that you constantly reapply or SPF clothing. you can find a ton of rash guards and hats online as well as sunglasses (babybandz are awesome). I would talk to your pediatrician about putting her in the water but I think it would be okay. I don't know what the water quality is like where you live. Some beaches would be really bad. But I would avoid public pools because those are really dirty and usually have extremely high chlorine content.

I took my baby to the beach at 3 weeks old. Only thing that was a problem was the blowing sand when I was trying to feed him. Other than that just make sure you keep your LO out of the direct sun since he's too young for sunscreen.

Ask your ped! Ours gave us the go ahead for our trip to Florida at 3/4 mths. If they're very young you can either make sure they're in a UV tent, or in shade. We applied sunscreen as per ped advice, tested on a small part for reaction. Although they don't test on children younger than 6m, so they won't advertise it as such. As she's older now we bring a kiddie pool to the beach. We have such a beach baby 😂 She learned to walk in the sand this summer before flat land. The fresh air is so great for them!
