Needing mommy advice...

My daughter is 8 months old now and is in her separation anxiety stage! I can't even go pee without her screaming her head off! I've found myself having her on my lap as I go to the bathroom and it's not working anymore! I've tried to let her cry it out but she literally turns purple from her crying! What can I do? I can't cook, clean, etc without her pitching a fit. She used to be good on the swing or baby Einstein with a movie on but not anymore. Any advice? Thanks!
