Vaginal birth After Cesarean(VBAC)

I am seriously considering VBAC as my first pregnancy ended in a cesarean. That being said the closest hospital that offers it is a little over 2 hours away in Columbus, OH but they have a contract with my OB office in Marietta, OH . I'd really like to do this and experience birth the natural way. If anyone has experience with VBAC please give me any facts, scares, birth stories that you have. I have an appointment next week with my OB and my husband and I are going to discuss this option and I just pray it's not to late to get started on this path since I'll be 24 weeks when I talk to my OB about it.
