How many of you continue to carry baby in the carseat after 3 months?

My son is 3.5 months and is seriously heavy when in his carseat lol. Im just curious as to who no longer carries their child in the carseat and what other options work for you! All I can think of is taking him in and out of the carseat rather than carrying them both- this is just more time consuming and can be hard when carrying alot of things. Im always in a hurry and always carrying at least 2 bags on me at all times 😧

It's so freaking convenient, but pretty heavy and not great for the grocery store. At the grocery store, I always wore my son until he was old enough to sit in the cart seat.

We made it to 7 mos. then switched to a convertible. It's easier to switch when they can sit unassisted

You could always make sure you have a carrier/wrap to baby wear instead of taking car seat out while carrying other bags.

I carried my daughter in her infant seat until 5.5 months before she got too heavy. We continued to use her infant seat (just taking her in and out) until 7.5 months then we switched over to the convertible car seat because she reached the height limit for the infant seat.

Why do parents carry the car seat?? I don't get it lol my best friend did it all the time when her son was little and it just never made sense to me. It's uncomfortable and inconvenient and yet I see parents do it every single day. It's 2017. There are so many products out there to make life with a baby easier! 
I use my daughters stroller constantly. Her car seat clicks right into it. So if I'm just running into a store for a few items then I just take her seat out and click it into her stroller and we're good to go. I even have large stroller hooks attached to it so I can easily hang my purse on them or grocery bags when I'm bringing everything in from the car. I also hang a basket from them when I'm in the store so I don't have to carry a basket while pushing the stroller. My hands are practically always free. 
If I'm at the store and need a bit more than what a basket can carry then I just use her Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock. It holds up to 50 pounds so I can even place her car seat in it as well. The furthest I have ever carried her car seat is from our house to the car if I happened to leave her stroller in there. That's it lol I've never carried it anywhere.  
You could also wear your baby it I personally can't stand baby wearing. So it's super rare that I break out her carrier when I'm out. Sometimes I'll even just carry her in if I'm running into a convenient store or something. I'll just take her out and she'll sit on my hip for the 3 minutes I'm in the store.

I switched at 5 months.

Only time I still use her car seat is if she's asleep or we are out to eat, she's 4 mo old and can sorta sit up but not well enough to be in a cart or booster seat at a restaurant. Otherwise I use a body carrier for her. Because her in the car seat is just way to heavy for me.
