Did you dress your baby in the Hosptial?

Question

I'm a FTM and  looking at different outfits to bring to the Hosptial and trying to figure out if it even makes sense to change him out of his Hosptial gown until he's going home?

Did you dress your baby at the Hosptial or leave them in hospital clothes?

We didn't put anything on my LO until we were taking him home.

Our hospital wouldn't let me put clothes on them until we were leaving the hospital...they said it was for 'safety reasons'

I'm in the hospital now and I'm leaving baby in the hat and shirt that they have him in. It's just much easier and I don't have to unsnap the bottom of the onesies.

We brought a couple outfits. But mostly baby stayed in a diaper and then got swaddled

My baby was given no clothes at hospital, only a hat...
I was in a gown for most of my stay.
I took enough clothes for both of us, including a warmer layer for my son to come home in...

Id do shirts that are open so it doesn't bother the umbilical cord, it will get blood on it fyi.

They only put a diaper on my kids and then wrapped them up in a blanket. So I dressed them up in onesies and sleepers.

I left him in hospital clothes until it was time to take him home. It was just easier that way plus I was too exhausted

I put my son in a gown until he day we went home, made diaper changes much easier.
