Test before period?

Is three days before a period too soon to test and actually get an accurate result? I'm 8dpo. I know feeling weird isn't a good indication because you can feel weird during ovulation and the closer you get to ur period but I've never felt like this and I've had years of ovulation weeks and periods lol oh and I've had creamy white CM which I never have before my period
