What's in a name?

My friend is a delivery doctor in Baltimore, and told me she just delivered her 4th baby this year named "Abcde" 🙄 pronounced "Ab-sed". What is it with people making every attempt to be "unique" when in actuality it's just a bit ridiculous. These poor children will eventually grow up. How is a professional adult supposed to find a decent job with a name like "Abcde"?

Reminds me of the lady who tried to sue a school because they kept screwing up her daughters name. Her name was "Le-a".... pronounced LADASHA. LIKE, how the hell are we supposed to know? Lol

At least the kid should be able spell it's name pretty quickly

I feel like parents should have the freedom to name there children as long as it doesn't cross the line. It's not fair to the kids to be named something that is completely made up and be stuck with it. Parents are trying too hard to be different and don't realize that those names look and sound ridiculous.

I think we are going to see a growing number of people changing their names.  So many people are trying to be "unique" and give their kids ridiculous names.

Is it for sure not a cultural name? I've never heard of it but have started  given thought before making a decision these days as so many cultures are around us now. But if not cultural and literally abcde I would find it ... interesting/different for sure. Not sure I would chose it myself though.

I hope the child doesn't get bullied and is able to find a job without them thinking it's a joke. I also hope he can change his name asap. This is just sad.
