Help! FTM trying to make sense of baby movements!
I am 21 weeks 3 days and I have an anterior placenta that is on the upper left. I think because of the anterior placenta it was difficult for me to feel the first flutters, but sometimes at 18 and 19 weeks I felt like I was feeling something. I started feeling light little taps mostly only on my right or way down low (where the placenta isn't covering) and was pretty sure right away that these were kicks. At our 20 week scan a little over a week ago we saw tons of movement on the ultrasound that I wasn't feeling and I assumed it would be while more until I could feel more than little taps. However the last 2 and a half days I've started to feel a lot. The taps on the right side are getting really strong. They don't hurt, but I'm shocked that someone so little could kick hard enough for me to feel them on the outside. And now I'm feeling taps on the left side where the placenta is and they seem pretty strong too (tho not as strong). Can she be this strong?? But what confuses me more is that I get these washing machine tumble feelings in there. It's not like popcorn popping or butterfly wings, its much stronger - like I said, washing machine tumble. And other times I have these painless muscle spasm type feelings in there. They're really sudden bursts of movement that only last a second (and then often repeat). Is this all baby??? Is this what movement should feel like?? Can she move this strongly at 21 weeks??!! And should I be able to feel all that with an anterior placenta?! Or besides gas (which I do get as well) what could it all be if not baby?
