Hyperemesis??

Question

anyone else dealt with/dealing with hyperemesis? went to the ED late last night as i suspected HG and had appalling ketone levels and ended up getting 4 bags of IV fluid. it was horrendous. I heard not many women face it but looking for support/tips. I'm hoping I don't have any more bad bouts like yesterday fingers crossed

I went through this with my first pregnancy but had a missed miscarriage between 8-12 weeks. I also went through this with my 15 month old son. It is horrible. The only medication that worked for me was Ondansetran. Seriously everytime I went to hospital, all 11 times, because I could not stop puking to the point of bringing up blood, when they gave me this medication I felt uplifted and energized for the rest of the day. It did make me EXTREMELY CONSTIPATED though. That was the worst side effect especially because not being gross but the poop was at my butthole ready to come out but it wouldnt so I had to help it out. But the constipation was worth it because of the benefits. I had this from 6 weeks pregnanacy until the end and it never got better until literally the moment my son was born. I could not eat like literally I ate basically nothing and I swear my son only survived because I was overweight at the time of conception.

Yes I had HG. My baby is now measuring amazingly and healthy. It was and still is rough even as I near the 3rd trimester but definitely not as rough as 1st trimester. Awful. 
  I actually found that anti-acids helped with vomiting. !!! The ER would even give them to me just in stronger doses of course than you get OTC but OTC still helped some.

Currently 25+4 and I'm still dealing with it. It's not as bad as it was during the first trimester, I couldn't even hardly lift my head off the pillow! But I still have symptoms and have to take my medicine everyday
