When should I tell people?

I'm currently 5 weeks and 4 days along, and my ultrasound isn't until 8 weeks 6 days! Originally my plan was to wait to tell people until the ultrasound.... but I don't know if I can wait that long to tell family and close friends I'm pregnant... what do y'all think? Can I tell them now or should I really wait?

I've had four miscarriages and am now pregnant with another rainbow. We've told immediate family so we have their support but I will wait until trimester two to make an "announcement" and tell work. 
It's hard having to explain to friends and on FB about your losses...

With my first pregnancy we waited and lost the baby at 9 weeks. All the family got out of that pregnancy was our heartbreak and devestation. Now I'm pregnant with our rainbow baby and we've decided to tell our family now, so that they get to see the joy. This way, should not all go well, at least we will not have to explain.

I know the feeling, really want to shout if of the roof tops....I am 5 weeks tomorrow, I was going to wait until I had my scan at 12 weeks however I have had to tell some people......well first my mum found out by accident, then I had to tell work ( only my boss knows) as they were wanting me to lift 25kg bags of flour, sugar etc, and I have had bad morning sickness.... so now I can run out if I am going to be sick and I won't be sent home
Then my mum told my sister as she is having a big clear out (due to moving house) and was giving away all her baby stuff away as she no longer needs it, this way if all goes well I can get a lot of second hand baby stuff 😀

I've told some family and friends and my boss at 6weeks. At least if something goes wrong I have some support.

I know the feeling! I'm in the same boat! I really want to start telling my husbands family this weekend when they come over but he says we should wait.

I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow and go in for my first prenatal visit next week! I've already told baby daddy (obviously) and my best friend. I'll probably tell my mom when I'm about 8 weeks and tell the rest of my family around 12 weeks when I get through the first trimester! GL!!
