Dishwasher Pods

This may seem like a silly question, but do I need to buy different dishwasher detergent pods for my baby items? I currently use Finish pods with the little round powerball because they work. I love my dishwasher, but it doesn't remove all of the food unless I use a really heavy-duty detergent, and I'm only allowed to use the pods because otherwise it creates too many suds. For my baby, however, I don't mind doing a little extra rinsing before putting his feeding items and toys in the dishwasher if it means I can use a safer dishwashing detergent. I'd love to know what everyone else does!

Side note: I plan to hand wash most baby items, but I also want options for the dishwasher.
