Just to give you guys a back story I'm seeing someone again - this guy I used to date in high school, it's been about 7 or 8 years. He has FULL CUSTODY of the child he had in a previous relationship, and they are no longer in communication. She still wants to be with him though.. I'm curious as to what you guys think about me watching his son... Though I've already met him, his son was all over me. (He's 2) i personally think it's a bit too soon. But if he needs a babysitting I def don't mind watching him. But I just want other input on it. Please let me know.

Personally, I would not do it so soon. I mean is he looking for a relationship or a babysitter? Be careful. Some men try to take advantage. I would let the relationship grow before thinking about putting yourself in a position that could be hard to get out of.

when i first met my husband we had a few dates before i met his kids. at the time he was living with his parents and couldnt afford a babysitter 6 days out of the week. (gives all his money to baby mama) so i stepped up and watched them day and night. at first its super overwhelming, but since hes so young he will enjoy having you there. his kids were 2 and 3 when i stepped in. now a few years later were all living together they call me mom and they enjoy being home with me and their new baby brother. They dont even notice that im the step mom. They are just happy that someone is there to love n care for them. if you feel like its too soon say so, maybe only babysit maybe a few times to see how things go. i think stepping up will show how much you care for him and his kid. best of luck!
