Should I take my lip piercings out?

So I got spider bites when I was 18, and less than a year later I had to go in for an emergency surgery and they took out my piercing and by the time I had gotten home the holes had closed up, so I got it pierced again a few months later, through painful scar tissue. When I was 21 I had taken them out because I just wasn't feeling them anymore, but the scar and hole are so obnoxious that I just ended up putting them back in to cover it. But now at 23, I'm just thinking they're a little juvenile, and not cute. What do you guys think? Should I take it out? I have actually 0 zero friends to get advice from so I always come to you guys 😘
