How much does all you breastfed momma's pump? And if you do, how many times a day?

Just curious. Wondering if I should be pumping everyday. If I go 3 or more hours without feeding my baby my boobs start leaking. Want my supply to be good because when I go 3 hours without feeding him my boobs can produce 5+ oz when I pump!

Hi- the problem with pumping is that you create a fake supply/demand situation- I was pumping and breastfeeding and if I went too long they'd end up engorged and leaking because I'd created an oversupply. I only pump now once a day at most or I end up with leaky, swollen and highly uncomfortable breasts.

I pump every 3-4 hours day and night and get 5-6 oz out each breast and if there still hard/sore I continue to pump til I'm empty. If I do not pump my breast get so sore I can barley move my upper body! I over produce a lot though!

I have been only pumping and feeding my son with a bottle & he's 6 weeks old now. I use to pump 3 times a day but now that he eats more I try to pump every 3 hrs. I get about 4-6 ounces every 3 hrs & if I don't pump at all during the night I wake up leaking at around 5-6am and would get about 10-12ounces. I have about 150-200 ounces frozen already.

I really should be pumping more throughout the day but I get so tired and caught up doing other things. So it's around 5-6 times a day. I try to pump at least every 4 hours. Right now I'm just keeping up with her, she is 6 weeks old. I'll get 4 ounces every 3-4 hours. She hasn't been waking up at night for at least a week now, so in the morning my boobs are extremely full and I get 8-10 ounces.
