Really weird thing is happening???

So I only have my period two-three times a year. People always tell me that I'm so lucky, they wish theirs was that way, etc. HOWEVER, I run through a super tampon every 45 minutes when I'm on my period for the first three days and then continue bleeding for 5+ days longer.

My last period was in April.

Tonight when I went to pee, I saw dark brown blood on the tp when I was wiping and a little in my underwear. I put a liner on. It's been five hours and all I have is *no exaggeration* a dot or two of red blood on a liner ???

Am I even having my period? Because I'm used to the Red Sea and this is like a blood sugar finger prick.

Secondary question, what's up with my periods? Why do I only have them a couple times a year?
