Hard Part of Military life

Never made a peep when we moved States. Don't have an issue with pay. No problem with other wives. But it seriously crushes me every single time we have nice plans or I try to do something special on a regular work day and it never happens. Had to cancel professional pictures last week because he has to cover someone's 24 hour duty, had to rearrange our vacation home over the summer twice because his leave kept getting moved, and now I'm sitting on the floor of my kitchen bawling like a baby because I planned this special dinner for him to come home to (he gets off at 6:00) because he passed his promotion board, and he still isn't here. (It's 10:15) The only response I got from him tonight said he'd be late, because they had to work on the range. It's so hard some nights. Just needed to vent a little.
