should this bother me?

so tomorrow is picture day at my school (I'm a junior and my bf graduated last school year) my mom bought me 3 shirts to try on and choose which one I wanted to wear. i told my bf I would send him pictures of them so he could help me choose just cause i wasn't sure which one I wanted to wear. so one of them was too little but I sent him a picture of it anyways, but I told him it was too little. what he said kinda bothered me and I feel like it was pointless.
