Baby registry!

Okay so I want to start my registry! I'm not quite 15 weeks and I know it's early but I want to add/delete as I go.. plus I don't want to do it all at once and forget something! Would it be silly to go ahead and start it? I won't share it with anyone till about 25 weeks. I always see moms telling other moms to not start it too early or it's pointless to start it before 20 weeks, which I don't see how?? I find out the gender in 1-2 weeks but there's certain things I want that I'll want no matter if I have a boy or girl plus I can always go back and change things.
