Coming up on my fertile window, ovulation expected next Friday (but usually late). DH and I were looking forward to a full week of BD.

Now FIL reached out and wants us all to go to the cabin for MILs 60th. I’d miss ovulation day at minimum, likely 2 days before AND ovulation assuming I ovulate 2 days late like before.

We could beg off and say it doesn’t work for us, but I feel bad because she only gets one 60th. I’ve been trying to be more supportive of his family and it feels selfish to not want to go.

OTOH, this is month 5 and I really want to be sure I get the timing perfect. It’s okay to make my life a priority, and this is a pretty big life goal we’re striving for.

WWYD?

Sneaking away isn’t realistic with my DH. And it’s too far for a day trip.

On other sibling can’t make it either.... I THINK I’d like to plan a fun brunch or something with his mom and that sib next time his folks are in town.
