I care what my husband and other close family think of me but not really anyone else

To a certain extent. I care/hope people can see me for my actions and behaviour. I care that my boss, coworkers clients, friends and family view me as professional, smart and respectful among other things. Do I care what the bitch from the bar thinks of me? No. Do I care what the McD's employee thinks of me when I go in for some nuggs after I skipped another day of showering and makeup? No. Do I care what my ex bfs girlfriend thinks of me after she unnecessarily messages me on fb? Fuuuck no.

Only if I respect them and their opinions. Like my husband, close friends, parents, people like that.

I guess I have a fragile ego. It really stinks sometimes and it's something I've worked on over the years. I'm getting too old to care anymore so I am praying that it will be removed from me.

I only care if ppl have something about me wrong, I'm a very open person and that just drives me if ppl don't know the truth... other then that I could care less. Obviously it's hurtful initially if someone doesn't like me or whatever but after a day I'm over it.
