When did you tell your family?

So I’m going on 20 in 5 days. I’m 8w pregnant right now but idk when I should tell my parents, rest of family & friends. I’m kind of nervous being this will be my parents first grandchild but honestly I’m not too scared because everyone in my family has had kids at a younger age then me including my mother. And my SO has a well paying job & we actually have everything falling into perfect place now. I just want the timing to be right & don’t know how to go about it. Would love to hear your stories on how you told your family/friends & how old you was/are.

I got pregnant with my first at 19; I was terrified of what my family's reaction would be. However, I knew I was having my baby so there was no point in putting off telling them. SO and I told our families at just 5 weeks and shared the news with our friends/on social media at 12 weeks. Everyone one was extremely supportive and happy for us :)
Being young doesn't mean that the timing is wrong. It's definitely not easy, but everything (school, work, etc.) is still possible. You're just living the path meant for you.

I actually told my grandma after my first scan at 6 weeks, she then told my mum.. Originally I was going to wait until I had my 12 week ultrasound to tell both my parents as Im high risk. I was still 18 at the time and honestly crapping myself because I had just got a new job and didnt want them to be worried ect x

I told my besties on the day we got the BFP. Waiting to tell my parents in person next month, but they aren't allowed to tell my sister or everyone will know. After telling my folks, we won't be telling other people till we're well into the 2nd trimester. As for fb, probably not till we enter the third trimester.

We told our parents and my best friend at 6 weeks, we figured that if anything were to go wrong, we'd need those people as support, and if everything goes right its just more amazing support (daily phone calls and texts "how are you feeling?" "do you need anything?") I love that they know. Waiting till we are 12 weeks for social media announcement

I told my mom at 10 weeks and then slowly told everyone else close to me. I'm 19 weeks and haven't told poeple at work yet.
